JBR Winter Nights carry on into the New Year with a new round-up of outdoor movies and live entertainment

Dubai, UAE, 15 January 2024: Get ready for more magical evenings under the stars! The widely popular JBR Winter Nights – complete with movies under the stars, kid’s workshops, live entertainment and an expansive mix of top-notch restaurants – has announced a revived calendar of experiences and breakout blockbusters until 3 March.

Set against the enchanting backdrop of the iconic JBR The Walk, overlooking the sea and Bluewaters, JBR Winter Nights is a definite family favourite seasonal experience with its array of entertainment for the whole family.

Every Friday and Saturday, settle in for free alfresco movie screenings twice daily at 5pm and 7pm. From the maritime adventures of Piscine Patel in ‘Life of Pi’ to Gru’s crafty scheming in ‘Despicable Me’ and fantastic fairytales of ogres, princesses, and gingerbread men in ‘Shrek’, JBR Winter Nights is bringing timeless tales to the silver screen. Plush beanbags and tasty treats await!

A host of enchanting live performers are also roaming the rolling avenue, with new acts every Saturday and Sunday at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. An out-of-the-world Astronaut Circus, eye-catching LED robots and luminous marching soldiers are but the start of a whimsical weekend – brilliant buskers are turning the destination’s bustling thoroughfare into their very own stage on Fridays at 6pm, 7pm and 8pm. Enjoy soulful melodies and foot-tapping tunes as percussionists, saxophonists, and violinists add a romantic quality to the ambience.

Chinese New Year steals the show 2 & 3 February and 9 & 10 February. Catch themed performances in dazzling hues of red and gold celebrating the grand occasion alongside themed arts and crafts activities for children. In fact, little ones will love the rotating calendar of creative workshops on offer every Saturday and Sunday from 5pm to 9pm, where they can unleash their imaginations.

Even Valentine’s Day (17 to 18 February) and International Women’s Day (2 to 3 March) will be commemorated with fun and informative art sessions.
